Beer Catalog

This ended up being easily the preferred beer out of the 4 we had from Evil Czech Brewery. It had a typical mouth-feel for a stout added with some malt flavor and a good ole roasty-ness to the beer. While the beer itself was pretty good, we got into the discussion of its high price point ($30/16oz 4pk) and that made some of the Lizards rank it a little lower. Still, not a bad beer flavor wise by any means, but there are just more preferred stouts from the Lizards with lower price points attached to them.
Side note-Our cans say 12%ABV but their website says 11%. Hmmmmmmmmmm

A standard IPA with that undeniable IPA flavor and bitterness. It had a tinge of some fruit notes that we were able to pick out which we generally liked. Not a very complex beer, but the majority of us preferred it over its cousin, the DIPA. It actually ended up being one of the Lizard's last place beers for the night.

A unique Czech-inspired lager that most of us were unsure about at first, as most lagers haven't gone over too well in the past, but the majority of us ended up liking it. A crisp, dark lager with a distinctive malt taste. Also has "dark fruits" according to a discription on Untappd which we could eventually pick out, we were thinking possibly plum.  One Lizard stated, "If you're a malt masochist you'll love this beer."

The beer's first noticeable quality was the thin body. Next we discovered the prominent flavors being malt and wheat. The website describes this beer as having juicy notes but the Lizards had a hard time with that description. Most of us described the beer as average while a couple weren't a fan. The Mosaic hop came in with a nice bitterness at the end however. 7.9& ABV and 70 IBU's

This is just about as hazy as it gets. Both in the beautiful orange juice like cloudy-ness and incredibly smooth taste. This is one of those Hazy IPAs that go down so easy it easy to finish the whole pint in just a couple minutes. Some members said it taste kinda of like a mimosa (Equal parts orange juice and Champaign) Very very well liked beer. No one at the table had much negative to say about it.

This beer features a nice IPA flavor balanced with a strong citrus and sweet flavor. Some members said it tasted like straight cane sugar was added to the brew. Other argued that it comes more from natural fruity flavors. All in all this was a very well liked beer. Among the best of the night for us

This beer is a dead ringer for the OG Voodoo Ranger but with a twist in the hops. We likened to if Voodoo Ranger was dry hopped or if they made a double IPA variant. It had that strong hop flavor similar to those type of IPA but none of the bitterness. We can see why this is an experiment because it is a fairly unique beer. We were all mostly favorable towards this one.

Somewhat citrus IPA but has a strong flavor of something foreign. Throughout the course of the sampling no one could put a firm descriptor on what that odd flavor is. We did joke that it kinda taste like you just finished smoking a heater... While somewhat accurate that was much more a joke than anything else. No one really disliked it too much but it was not anyone's favorite beer of the night by far.

This beer kicks us in the absolute teeth. The lineup from Pipeworks to this point had been superb. Then this beer came along and took it to a whole new level. Spumoni is a type of ice cream that typically is made of candied fruits and nuts. That's pretty much what you are in for with this beer and it is one hell of a ride. Best beer of the night agreed all members of The Table

Pipeworks has a way of naming their beers exactly the way they taste,  and this beer is no exception. The citrus flavor of this beer is absolutely our of control. It is by far the most prominent flavor and goes down way too smooth for the strength of this beer. It's way too easy to drink and is a great beer. Quite well liked around The Table
