The beginning of the taste comes strong with a silky sweet malt flavor. Not something that you find very often in an IPA. Right behind the malt there is an extremely subtle note of some kind of citrus. Maybe orange or a sneaky grapefruit. Followed by that, the beer finishes with a strong hop flavor that you would come to expect from Double IPA's. However, the malt sweetness at the beginning does a great job at balancing out the hop bitterness at the end. This was an extremely well liked beer all around the Table.
