This ended up being easily the preferred beer out of the 4 we had from Evil Czech Brewery. It had a typical mouth-feel for a stout added with some malt flavor and a good ole roasty-ness to the beer. While the beer itself was pretty good, we got into the discussion of its high price point ($30/16oz 4pk) and that made some of the Lizards rank it a little lower. Still, not a bad beer flavor wise by any means, but there are just more preferred stouts from the Lizards with lower price points attached to them.
Side note-Our cans say 12%ABV but their website says 11%. Hmmmmmmmmmm

This beer kicks us in the absolute teeth. The lineup from Pipeworks to this point had been superb. Then this beer came along and took it to a whole new level. Spumoni is a type of ice cream that typically is made of candied fruits and nuts. That's pretty much what you are in for with this beer and it is one hell of a ride. Best beer of the night agreed all members of The Table
While this wasn't the pumpkin stout that we were hoping for, this is still a very good beer. Elysian really knocks that "Pumpkin Spice" flavor out of the park and it shows with this beer because it isn't augmented with an coffee flavoring. The mouth feel of this beer isn't especially creamy but it is still thiccc and quite smooth. We here at Lizard Liquors just wish that this beer and the Punkuccino from Elysian would combine and make a beautiful Pumpkin Spice Latte Stout. All in all we liked this beer quite a lot
This stout starts out with strong notes of malts, and chocolate. Then the bourbon kicks in and leaves a noticeable burn that sits in your chest and mouth afterwards, enough to send shivers down on Lizard's spine. Far sweeter than you would probably expect with a medium body. Be warned however, the more of this you drink, the better and smoother it goes down. A tasty but perilous proposition! Almost completely well liked around the Table.
If you are a fan of the taste of oats then this is the stout for you. No seriously, it has one of the strongest oat tastes that we have ever tasted in a beer. The taste lingers in your mouth up to 10-20 seconds after you've taken a drink. In that prolonged aftertaste you can really appreciate the roasty nature of the brew too. There are some far more subtle but still very noticeable sweeter notes; it tastes like natural molasses or syrup to us. Overall an extremely smooth and tasty beer if you're a fan of this style. Fairly well liked around the Table
Unlike a lot of the other stouts from the Saugatuck lineup, don't expect any sweetness or specialty flavors. This is a quintessential coffee driven stout with some roasty and malt flavors. Some Lizards noted a nutty, perhaps hazelnut, flavor. This beer was very well liked across the table and considered a rather exceptional stout
A rich, sweet stout with classic malt characteristics with a bold, unique twist. This beer tastes like you crammed a fat stack of blueberry pancakes into a pint glass and smothered it with maple syrup. The Lizards all agreed that this is a very sweet beer. Almost to the point of being slightly too much. Viscosity is very thick and tends to stick to the glass. Notes of a dry after taste. It's a very unique flavor but don't be surprised if you get tired of it rather quick

This beer tastes almost exactly like a Neapolitan bar with a very creamy mouth feel. Expect very strong notes of Strawberry, Vanilla, and Chocolate. Work together better than some would expect. These sweeter flavors contrast in a very interesting way because it finishes with a bit of a bite. The Lizards were overall pretty positive on this beer

Heavy on the coconut aroma on this beer. Lighter flavor in general when compared to other stouts. Goes down pretty smooth and crisply. According to the description is has a sweet flavor with a dryer finish. However, none of the Lizards picked up on that. Reception was relatively positive but not blown away by any means

Very light in terms of stouts. The body maintains that thickness that you would come to expect but the flavoring comes up a lot shorter than other beers of this type. Oatmeal notes are very very subtle. Not particularly creamy in terms of mouth feel. Some Lizards classified this as a "Basic-Bitch Stout." That sentiment wasn't shared across all members of the table but they all could see where he was coming from. Extrememly subtle toasty taste to it .

Another Stout from Ian's Nightmare. Despite it being a milk stout, the mouth feel isn't nearly as creamy as others. The coca and vanilla notes come out strong in the forefront on the sip but are contrasted by a hop driven bitterness on the back end. Some of the Lizards noticed some malty and barley notes. Not as refreshing as a Nitro but surprisingly refreshing for a stout

Extremely smooth. Definitely for a stout. Thicker and incredibly creamy mouth feel. The mocha is perhaps the most prominent and contributes to a very agreeable flavoring. Couple that with the lactose from the milk and you have an exceptional stout. Extra points for being a Nitro. The Lizards could see this beer pairing very well with food which is not the norm for darker beers

Very strong coffee flavor with an incredibly dry and surprisingly warm finish. Seriously, have a glass of water with you when drinking this beer. The Lizards were split down the middle on the level of bitterness. Some thought more, others thought less. A personal favorite of Lizard Liquor Ian Hand and an exceptional stout overall.
